Do yours wear boots? Mena needs them, we're going shopping this week. It gets so cold her little feet might freeze! Is there a certain brand you like?

I bought boots the first year we had mr. butters and he refused to move in them. I lent them to a friend for her dog- same issue.
I think maybe if you start them really, really young it would work. Mine just freeze up and refuse to move.:rotfl:
If you can get a doxie to wear boots....please get some pics!!! I have never actually seen that happen......

Heidi has boots, as she is old, frail and an UTTER baby when it comes to the cold and snow. She wore them exactly ONCE, and kicked them both right off. Of course, I got them just in time for the last snow fall last year so we'll see...if we even get any REAL snow this year :sosad:
Not cold enough here for boots. Some dogs like them some don't. I'd buy an inexpensive pair first to see if she will tolerate them.
I tried them when Bailey was a pup, he hated them, tried them again last year, still hated them, and Reese hates them as well. I tried them last year and he just stood in his Reese Statue pose until I took them off.

Mena would probably wear them. I put a jingle collar on her, antlers, shirts, coats, whatever and she just. doesn't. care. No fights, struggles or trying to take them off. She's just like "meh, whatever."

That's how my two are with clothes, but usually HATE stuff on their heads. Last night at Santa, the helper put Buddy's antlers on and to my surprise, he left them on til we got home and I reached for the camera. THEN he shook them off lil booger!! He wanted to wear the boots but tey were too small. Might look into getting him some this year, we'll see.

I got 'em for my big girl when she had sore feet. She walked around like a cat with tape stuck to her feet - very very funny!

Hummm Mena is quite a girl....climbs xpens in a single bound, can destroy a kong, blankets and crates....but loves to be dressed up :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sorry I'm no help at all....but I know mine would not take to boots kindly.
We've tried everything from expensive booty's to cheap baby socks with Rubber padding underneath for traction.
All we got was instant Dachshund Status...hmmmm I just got an idea..
maybe it would be a good idea to keep booty's around and when you need them to stand still you just put the booty's on and they will just stand there for you. :)

Good idea, Rafi. lol.
No boots for Gigi. I bet she would froze if I put them on her. I haven't see a dog in real life yet who can walk "normally" with boots on. :rotfl:

I tried with Bella last winter and she was miserable. She walked like a duck and kept falling down. I think if I had kept at it she would've gotten used to walking in them but I gave up. I felt bad making her wear them. Now the problem is frozen pads. I have to keep holding her paws in my hands to warm them up when she's outside in the "deep" freeze. Even 5 minutes is too long.

I know! You could put the booties on WHILE she's in her crate!! She would just stand there going  ... :rotfl:

AHHHH I put boots on Bailey and he walked around like a SPAZ :duh: H ewould lift one paw at a time VEERRRYYY carefully. Then he sprinted and kicked them off, and gave me a look that said "welp, that was a waste of twenty bucks, eh mama? Didn't i tell you that I did not like them when we were at Petsmart?"

Same here! :rotfl: Bella looked like a duck and was miserable! I haven't even tried with Cooper. Their little pawsies just freeze up and I have to warm them up in my hands before they can move on... It's harder to do with two of them now! :duh:
I got mine from www.dogedesigns.com. The boots were very nice Bella girl just wanted nothing to do with them.
