I saw the commercial on TV the other day. I thought about it, but I made Bailey's ramp for about $20 (less probably) and as useful as steps are, I think ramps are a little easier on them.

I think ramps are probably easier on their backs. I have both. I have 2 sets fo steps, one for the couch downstairs and one for the couch upstairs only because the company made a mistake and sent us two, but only charged us for one! Even at that, it cost me a lot more the $39.99 and mine are a wood base with carpet over it so they aren't that easily portable. The only problem with those might be that that beige covering would get dirty pretty easily and I don't know if it's carpet or how easy it would be to clean. But then at $39.99 you could probably just buy some more!

I didnt even think about getting a ramp until now.I can make one of those and I have extra carpet to throw on it for traction.I dont think those steps are even big enough for my bed.I have a really high bed!!
Thanks for posting. I saw that ad recently too.
I agree that ramps are probably easier and better for doxies. Tasha is pretty good about using her ramp....though when our futon couch is put down into a bed, she tends to jump off as its lower.

I have ramps all over my house. I did look at the steps but with cart wonders they are not practicable.
