Covering up pee and poop?

Reese has started to cover his pee and poop with snow. :scratch:

Anyone else's dog do this? And why are they doing it? I have noticed that he only covers the pees that he squats to do, not the ones he lifts his leg to do.

We always pick up poops after they do their business. It's just since it's been snowing. I thought it was a fluke thing and that's why I didn't post about it before, but he keeps doing it. :confused:

Pixel covers his with snow too. Someone suggested that it may be a survival instinct to cover their scent.

Hey, my Madison does that, not every time, but about every other time. She either poops or piddles and then kicks dirt over it with her hind legs OR she uses her nose to cover her pile or puddle.

I've often wondered why she does this and I've come to the conclusion that either she covering it so that Dolly doesn't find it, (sad to say, my Dolly is a poo eater and member in good standing with P.E.A.(poop eaters annonymouse) OR she thinks she's a kitty cat. :rotfl:

Auggie does this occasionally as well. If he pees in the dirt or grass (wich isn't that often in NYC), he'll kick dirt over it. I think it's kinda cute.
