I had Sophie and Casey sleep with me in the Big Bed as usual.
Sophie was snuggled up to me really close. I got up at 3am to take her out for a tinkle. I took her off the bed while I got dressed. She peed on the floor and went to sleep on a little pillow I have on the floor in my room! (this is the first time she has had an accident inside our townhouse) I was like wha?
Next time I will sleep in my Track Suit! So, I can just get up and GO!

I took her out anyways, 15 minutes later ,she did nothing! I got back to my room and cleaned up the urine (that had a very strong odour to it) and sprayed some Green Apple Smelling Lysol on the floor, which sent Casey into a sneezing fit! I said a little :pray:er to myself that Casey doesn't have issues as well.

By the time I got back into bed it was 4:30 ( I get up at 5am for work)
Sophie was on my side of the bed all curled up and sleeping. I just layed down beside her rubbing her belly and watched the clock until it reached 5am. I am so tired, I hardly slept at all last night, for worrying about her.

There has been NO change in her behaviour. She is still quiet and sleeping alot.
I hope that our trip to the Vet today has a positive outcome. :crossfin:

Sending more rayz for Sophie :bigrayz: :rayz: :bigrayz: :rayz: :bigrayz:

BTW, when Bandit had her back issues and when she had her stroke I slept in a t-shirt and sweat pants for just that reason. I was summer so I didn't need a coat or shoes and I could just get out of bed (or sometimes up off the floor where I'd slept beside her) and scoop her up to take her outside.

Good luck and the vet. All fingers and paws are crossed and you'll be in my :pray1:

I wonder if she has a UTI, just wondering cause you said it smelled strong. I would think if you picked her up then she would yelp especially if she has it real bad, its so cold up by you guys. I'm thinking of adding a small amound of Cranberry's to Petunia's diet. Here'd hopping its nothing serious and some more rays:bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz:

good grief charlie brown, you poor baby.....both of you. Big huge mega hugs and rayz that all will be better soon. You are ALL OVER IT as usual, and hopefully she will be just fine. Remeber back in June I thought it was the end of the world and Duchie was Bridge-bound and cried all the time (in the shower- you scare me...)?? Well HRH is with me at the office today because I am taking her to get her toes cut off at lunch and she is racing around her "new office" and smelling and barking like a real dog... at age ten.

After her recovery from the stroke and the loss of about 4 pounds (which we all know is a HUGE number for a 12 pound furkid) plus the additiion of glucosamine and chondroitin she is a new improved gal.

I bet you are right about the yelping and that she has had this for quite a while. However, as with Duchie and all rescues, how the he!! are we supposed to know what *might* be wrong with our babies? No way in the world to know- I had no idea there was a spunky girl inside Duchie until she lost so much weight and got on the supplements.

You are a fabulous hoomom, a good person, and a diligent keeper of those you love. Fingers and paws crossed in KY that Sophie-Sue (sorry, everyone down here has to have two names, it's Redneck Law) will be fine as wine very soon.

Speaking of wine.... not a bad idea, and I know from loads of personal 'sperience you can take it to the bathtub with you.

Love you girlfriend, and you hang in there. :bigrayz:

Doug and I took her in at 10 am. I will pick her up at 5:30 pm and give an update around 6:15 ish!

Casey was not happy when we took her! He had morning Harfies (just yellow liquid) as we could not feed him at the proper time of 9am. Sophie was not to be given Breakfast, so we decided to feed Casey after we put Sophie in her travel crate.

Thank Goodness we had the couch treated!!!!!!!

:thanx: for the update. Since Sophie will be at the vets, have them check her urine to see if she has UTI. Possibly the odor is caused by lack of the usual amount of water and not moving around much. Sending :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: to Sophie.
