Nudgies time anyone?

Ok...so we're nuts... I give Chief what we call "Nudgies"...made up word...sort of like nudging me ....:rotfl: :rotfl:

After last walk he runs to the kitchen to get his snack and water. I then reach for a small treat and sing...."It's nudgie time..nuuu--nuu--nuu- nudgie time..nudgie nudgie....and Chief goes running into the bedroom and waits. I go into the bedroom and sit on the floor. He jumps on top of me to get the treat. I then start off brushing him. Singing..to the tune from the Wizard of Oz...brush brush here and brush brush there..that's how we get Chiefy shine..etc...then the brush goes back into the bag. Out comes the toothbrush and toothpaste....same song....while brushing his canines....Back goes the toothpaste and toothbrush and out comes the Breath Friend. One squirt on each side. Out comes baby wipes. First I wipe his snout...make sure his eyes are clean....then he lifts up each paw separately for me to wipe ...wipe his underside...and finally his tail. I say..ok..nudgie time is over ..he hops off of me..does his body shake and gives me a kiss.

Anyone else do "nudgies" or are we the ONLY crazy ones?

That's a great routine! We do all of ours separately, paws after walkies, teeth not as often as we should, brushies during playtime (she rolls a lot then and seem itchy). Nudgies is a good idea!

I agree that's a great routine. I should do something similar. I desparately need to brush her teeth, but she won't let me. arg. You think she would be distracted by my singing and let me brush her teeth? :rotfl:

What a great idea Loren! Best part is, is that he loves his special Mom time and he gets all the stuff done that needs to be done without complaint.

Every Wednesday night I brush Molly's teeth and clean her ears. The ears is a snap, the teeth, well let me just say it's a wrestling match, and I always win! :rotfl:

Your routine sounds great! I think if I sang to Molly while doing it, my roommate my kick me out of the house!

That's me, Sandi. If I did that will all 6, plus washing Amanda every other day because she's partly incontinent and gets stinky and mopping the floor (same reason). I'd never get anything else done. If you come up with a plan, let me know!

Maybe I should have my hubby SING to Maddie while I get to her teeth. Madison either really loves or really hates.....we haven't figured it out.....it when her papa sings. It will get her HOWLING and SCREECHING every time. Maybe if he sings, she will start hollerin' and then I can stick the toothswab in her mouth while it's open. Hmmmmmm.

No "nudging' here, but Cassie POKES people with her snout when she wants food or attention. You have to be careful because she does not discriminate where she pokes. Don't bend over if she is standing behind you on the couch!:shocked:
