We were at another USDAA agiltiy trial this past weekend. It was put on by the agility club I belong to so lots of work but it went well.
Now all my dogs have USDAA titles and OWEN is the star! He got 5 Q's and now has his PGI (Performance 1 Gambler) title and PKI (Performance 1 Snooker) title. Salsa has her PJI (Performance Jumpers). She also did the taller a-frame (5'6") no problem!!!!! Got another snooker Q too!
Laika did not receive any new titles as she needed to bark a lot. Actually, Saturday she did well...had an amazing gamblers run (she qualified with a second place cuz OWEN beat her!)and a very fast Standard run but she jumped the contact on the dogwalk..I didn't care much as she was running so well. She ran Pairs nicely too but our partner screwed up so no Q (it's like a relay race sorta thing). Then in JUmpers some people were at the edge of the ring with two dachshunds. I think they were from our meet-up group. They let their dog lunge and bark at Laika while she was running so of course she went nuts barking...she may have started it but 1) they were too close to the ring and 2) they should have not let their dogs bark at her. I even asked them to make their dogs stop and they did not. asshats.
So she not only blew that run, she continued barking at everything Sunday. I had to carry her from the ring in disgrace a few times as I GOTTA stop that behavior. She did have one bark-free run but got carried away by some wonderful smell..don't know what it was but it sorta just carried her away....it was actually kinda funny cuz her nose went up (it was in the air, not the ground) and she just followed it right out of the ring!
O well. Laika must always make things interesting...
Her behavior did lead to a funny thing...on Sunday when she barked at some poor man standing on the sidewalk, I told the judge I was taking her out and Laika wouldn't let me pick her up-ran out of the ring then collapsed on her back, belly in the air. Causing two women I know to yell HEY AMY! ITS ILLEGAL TO BEAT YOUR WEENER IN PUBLIC!
