The Detroit area Dachshund meet-up had their meeting today. For once I had no agility so we got to go. Left the guests at home and the weens and Salsa and I went. It was far as it's a stretch to say I'm from the Detroit area...but I wanted us to do a raffle to raise money for fundoxie rescue and that went really well. We raised 100 dollars for the rescue and then the place where we held the meet-up donated a portion of our rental fees to the rescue also so they got 157 dollars. Not a fortune but cool, anyway. I did a short and not too successful clicker training session. Some people were really interested...
My dogs ate SO MANY TREATS I'm surprised they didn't puke. Laika attached herself to some little boy and every time I looked for her she was with him-he was having her do agility obstacles! For treats of course. There were two doxie chi mixes and a minpin/doxie too. The rescue woman brought a foster dog with her..he is from Detroit and had had an imbeded collar. He thought Salsa was sexy (he is not neutered yet) and she HATED him. Must be SOOO frustrating to be that mad and attacking a dog that pays no attention. It's not easy being tiny...
