Laika got her second CPE Championship yesterday!! Whoohooo! She needed 2 Jackpot (jackpot is like Gamblers in USDAA and kinda like the Fast class in AKC) qualifying runs to get it and there was one to run Friday and one Saturday. I didn't even run her Saturday. She was barking again some and there were some idiotic people at the end of the ring letting a VISITING (not entered dog) bark at the dogs that were running. I was sure she would bark and was stewing over it...then asked my friend Becky to run her cuz Laika LOVES other people to run her and I thought the novelty of Becky running her would keep her attention. And it did. One big bark but then Becky just said come on Laika and kept running and Laika was like...OH! Becky is leaving me! and ran her little heart out. It was so cool to watch. Laika was so fast and she looks so darn CUTE and she just loves to run with Becky abd Becky is a great handler, too. So :cheer3: Laika is the second C-ATCH 2 Dachshund in CPE. Moose was the first. We get to see Moose again next weekend at the CPE Nationals! AND Laika qualified in all the 4 runs she ran.
Owen was kinda weird this weekend. He was great on Friday, then Saturday he was slow and then HE PEED in the ring during Standard. Went around the A-frame, went underneath it to PEE. He did get 4 "Q's" out of 7. he actually only needs 9 runs of various sorts to get HIS C-ATCH2!!
Salsa ran her little heart out but it was so hard for her...the chute was too stiff and she couldn't push through it, the teeter took FOREVER to go down, she hates picky grass. She did finish her level 5 Fullhouse so that gives her a CL5-F title.

If you just start the slide show, the first two dogs are Salsa and Owen, then there is our friend, Beamer, then Laika
