The bad weather seems to be following me. :sosad: The rest of you might want to reconsider inviting "bad weather friend" Ellen to your state!


Sandi had tickets for all of us to the Chinese Terracotta Warriors exhibit at the Atlanta High Museum of Art ... but we scratched the trip when it started to accumulate on the roads, with ice underneath. Georgia just isn't set up for snow, so we knew the roads would be bad.

AND Sandi's defrost blower wasn't working in her SUV, so we would have had to take two cars AND still deal with the roads. Not worth it.

As a side note ... we tried using a hairdryer on the inside of the windshield to get rid of the frost, but THAT wasn't working either. But I DID get to give Sandi one enormous blow job in the process. :holyshp: She said she enjoyed it.

I don't think it's you causing the bad weather. A cold front came in last night and ruined our upper-70s weather, and you're not even in FL now. You northerners - please take your front back, thanksverymuch.

herd is not having no part of the frozen mess coming form the sky thank you very much. Woke yesterday morning to booming thunder showers- by 3 I was in shorts and flip flops!!!!! Today it's snowing:wtf2:
It hasn't snowed like this in YEARS!!! We are less than 200 miles from the panhandle of Florida -so those unfamiliar with where i am - DEEEP SOUTH!!! This is freaky but the kids are having a blast!!

So, it was 58 here in the Seattle area here, about an hour or so from Canada, yet in Georgia it is snowing? Something ain't right!

Sorry about the canceled trip to the museum.:sosad:

This is INSANE! I've been outside playing all morning, and am now freezing and soakin' wet! :duh: And we are supposed to get MORE! News is saying 4 more hours of snow and the outside temp keeps dropping! Glad this happened on a Sunday when we didn't have work/school!

I did not get winter this year. Mad about that. 85 Thursday, 25 last night, and 80 again by Wednesday. Ugh.

My FAVORITE new picture!! She did NOT like the snow! She was ok at first, but once she realized it was cold AND wet, she was DONE!

BTW, news is saying we got close to 5-6 inches of snow today!! Combine that with the flooding rains yesterday and I'm not looking forward to seeing what tomorrow is gonna bring! :holyshp:

Hope you are enjoying the snow. Yuck. I was not thrilled to see that it snowed in Alabama, and especially not to see it was in Birmingham. We have to drive thru there in a couple days, and I am betting that the people in Birmingham are not used to having four inches of snow on the ground. Oh joy, oh joy.

We Floridians do not love snow. I am just barely bearing it up in Missouri. It really did not need to follow me south. Boo hiss. :sosad:

Luckily for us it will all be gone tomorrow. It has stopped snowing and you can already tell that it's beginning to melt.. at least on the cars and such... So you should be fine on your drive through B-ham! And you are right, us southerners DO NOT know how to drive in this mess, which is why, after a brief, and VERY slow, trip to BK, we haven't left the house since! I am terribly surprised that nobody has ended up in the lake down the street from our house! Folks have been FLYING down the hill! :duh:

The snow is pretty..... *dodging snowballs from Mama and Ellen and Da Brat* - but I know it is a real pain in the azz when you think it should be SPRING !!!

At least I made sure that I have the snow scraper, de-icer and cat litter in the trunk for the trip back up. I figured I might run into snow/ice on the return trip, but who would have thought it would be in ALABAMA :wtf2: ?

Fortunately, I have had years of experience driving in that mess, most recently in the 8 1/2 inches dumped on St. Louis, but I sure don't have to like it.

Cold, snow, and icy.....four letter words to us!!

Atlanta had a bad day of snow, as well, so the Museum refunded Sandi the price of the tickets. She is working on purchasing more so we can go either next or the following weekend. Hopefully, PJ won't have to work and can go with us!

YES!!! There IS a baby brat on the way!!! September 19th is the official day and we find out Mounds or Almond Joy on April30th. As yet, Mama hasn't been able to hear her newest butterbean's heartbeat:sosad: :sosad: but hopefully before it's over!!
