View Full Version : In honor of our Andrea, and her Captain Jethro Monkeypants

As this week closes, our E-bay auction ends and so does one of the saddest weeks of our lives. The auction was an outstanding success, a true tribute to the sweet boy who's name titled our auction. Every single one of us would move heaven and earth to be using these funds for Jethro's surgery.

The funds collected from the auction, decal sales, poo sales, blanket sales and the Fundable drive will all be used to defray Jethro's medical costs and set up a small medical fund for the Anipals.

Our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with Andrea and the Anipals as they deal with this devastating loss. Captain Jethro Monkeypants touched us all in a way that only the special ones do. :hearts:

I really can't thank you all enough for what you've done for Jethro, and now, the rest of the crew. Jethro was such a big dog for such a little dachshund, and I wish that all of you could've met him and held him and had him sleep on your shoulder. Thank you for opening your hearts to him and to me.

We wouldn't have it any other way, and I dare to say that I know I speak for everybody. I also wish I could have met/held the little bugger, and will go the rest of my life regreting I did not. I had hopes to meet him at Buda next year...

We :love9: Jethro, he stole all our hearts, and we :love9: you for being such a wonderful human being and a loving Mom to all the Anipals.

I'm just thrilled that people kept outbidding me! Is it fair to drive up the price if it's for the anipals??!!

Yeah I too drove the price of something up bidding on it for Jethro.

I think that's the perfect thing. I was hoping we could set up the Jethro Memorial Fund for the benefit of the anipals. He would love it, just like he did all his family.

Think of the laugh Grrrt is going to have when he tells he about the poo hearts in the auction.

I am so proud of the DLC family for coming together for Andrea in her time of need to help Jethro. Jethro will forever be "our" little Captain Jethro Monkeypants. :hearts:

A wonderful use of the funds - and a nice tribute to Jethro. RIP sweet Monkeypants - you were loved by so many, and will be missed most terribly.

I'm so happy the auctions were so successful and that the funds will help all the Anipals in honor of Jethro. This is such an wonderful group of truly caring people, I feel lucky to be a part of it.

I wish I could have met Jethro and at least pet his sweet little head. I'm still crying at the mere mention of his name. He'll always be our little Captain Jethro Monkeypants...:angel:

I agree !!!! Jethro touched hearts from Canada to deep into Florida... a pretty huge area for a very small dog !!!!! I am so happy his legacy will live on to help the other anipals!!!!! We will always love you "Monkey Pants" :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:
