Walmart is trying to make me go back to the same postion that I can' t do anymore because of repeatative motion I can no longer do the job. I asked & asked to be put in a position I can do. But I got the same reply each time, go see your Dr. & bring in a note. Well, I finally got a Leave of Absence & trying to go back to work. And today I get the same thing we need you to go back to your postion. So now I am trying transfer to another store, which the manager won' t sign my transfer papers for, until I can find a better job.

I watched them today look thru a file of Dr' s notes from where I went to the Dr's and got excuses for being under Dr's care & then my LOA. And then had nerve to tell me I miss too much time from work!!!!
But missed time excused from a Dr note can' t be held against you for a transfer!!!! Only misconduct. They are just think or hope I' m stupid enough to believe the B.S. they are trying to feed me! And think I "need" a job bad enough that I' ll keep doing whatever they say like a little puppet.

I think I would talk to a lawyer-that gives a 30 minute free consult. I think that is illegal. I work for Kmart and when we have people get sick they are always but in a position they can handle. I'm sure not all Kmarts do that but ours does. Here are rays for you for a better job :bigrayz: :bigrayz: Walmart right now has so many bad legal problems. Here in our town they got busted for hiring illegals--i live 70 miles from the border.

I'm pretty sure there is something illegal about the fact that they won't sign your transfer papers. I agree, get a consultation with a lawyer! Lots of job :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: coming your way!

I called the Home Office when I got home & told of everthing that happened that day I asked to transfer. They asked if I talked to my Store Manager & I said no, 'cos they said he' s on vacation & this is the co- manager that I am dealing with. Shouldn' t she be in charge when the Store Manager is out?
They gave me the District Manager # but he was out.
I got a call from the Regional Manager((?)) at Home Office, I think, who spoke to someone at my store & she told them probably everything I said.... Well, she said I can talk to my Store Manager on Monday & see if he can resolve the problem..... that' s a joke, why do they think I called Home Office if he can resolve it???? (He didn' t listen to me when I told him that I have a Dr' s note & need to be taken off the register 2 mos. ago)
So, I guess I' ll go from there. If they say I don' t have a postion to go to or am able to be tranfered I should have a case, right?
Sounds like they're stalling when you're ready to work. If nothing happens Monday, I'd look for a lawyer. Walmart is not exactly known for their good labor practises!! You could also try contacting the local media....see if they'd like a case on Walmart's labor relations---you've done all they asked for and they're not playing fair.
:rayz::rayz::rayz::rayz::rayz:you can get this settled soon!

Laurie, make sure you are keeping a detailed written log of everyone you have spoken with, and what they said, and when you spoke with them. You may need it in the future. Sending job rayz that you can get this sorted out soon and find a position that you will enjoy and that won't aggravate your condition :):rayz: :rayz: :rayz: :bigrayz:

I would report them to the better business bureau also--but see what happens first you don't want to p--- them of anymore. Also shouldn't your human resource handle a lot of that? I sure would talk to a lawyer to--Walmart has a lot of bad publicity here in our town right now.
