Pat made the decision to let him go today. It was the right one I am sure...my sister warned me that kidney failure is not a good or easy death so it's a blessing Pat let him go before he was in pain or had lost himself...
His name is so fitting...it means Never Forget Bois du Tot (which is the line he came from in France).
I will never forget Nou Nou. Beautiful, smart, KIND, funny. A truly wonderful dog in every way.
He raised Salsa when she was a puppy...watched over her and she slept in his fur when she was tiny as a hamster..he would never hurt her. An intact male, he NEVER fought or was aggressive to any dog, ever. I keep thinking of how he would press his face against mine and his (scary to the uninitiated) open mouth "bite kiss". I keep thinking of his last run with me...our friend who had the trial let me run him with the bars down and he was so happy even though he had been so sick.

aww I am so sorry for Pat's loss and the loss of a great fur friend to you. He was such a beautiful dog not only on the outside but also on in his heart and soul. The last photo of him on that page is excellent and that's how he should be remembered that and running the agility course happy and free.

In tears here. now he's running free and easy at the bridge, waiting for you and Pat to join him. Please pass on our thoughts to Pat, and of course :bighug: to you, Amy. Some dogs are just larger than life. Godspeed, Nou, be at peace. :candle2:

I know he had a special place in your heart, Amy, and am sorry he had to go so soon. But not suffering was the best gift Pat could give such a faithful and loving companion.

You can make all the jumps at the Bridge, Nou Nou!! Go for it!
