Pat made the decision to let him go today. It was the right one I am sure...my sister warned me that kidney failure is not a good or easy death so it's a blessing Pat let him go before he was in pain or had lost himself...
His name is so fitting...it means Never Forget Bois du Tot (which is the line he came from in France).
I will never forget Nou Nou. Beautiful, smart, KIND, funny. A truly wonderful dog in every way.
He raised Salsa when she was a puppy...watched over her and she slept in his fur when she was tiny as a hamster..he would never hurt her. An intact male, he NEVER fought or was aggressive to any dog, ever. I keep thinking of how he would press his face against mine and his (scary to the uninitiated) open mouth "bite kiss". I keep thinking of his last run with me...our friend who had the trial let me run him with the bars down and he was so happy even though he had been so sick.
