my lucky meet my neighbors Miniature Schnauzer and the dog would jump on top of him and lucky is only 1/3rd his size i feel his hurting him and the owner doesn't say anything. so what i did was take him off my dog, lol. i'm concerned because i would think lucky would just run off and not let him do this. maybe he lacks confidence? i dunno. lucky doesn't seem to respond. when the dog left lucky was upset because he wanted to play so maybe it wasn't too bad and i'm being parnoid. they did run and play but they wanted more and were upset. i just hate how the other dog who is heavy for a mini jumps on him like that. can't be good for his back?

Actually it should be okay...Pogo is much bigger than Pixel and they play exactly as you describe. If Lucky doesn't currently have any health / back issues (so no pre-existing injury to aggravate), then he should be fine playing. They are just establishing their pack order and having fun. I guess it's like the doggie equivalent of the WWE (wrestling) - they jump on and try to pin each other into submission? Jumping on and off of couches, doing stairs and how humans pick them up (if they don't do it properly) are much bigger risks to their backs.

SHadow weighs 24 pounds, Aurora weighs about 11 pounds and they jump and roll and tug all over each other. As long as no one is getting super agreesive I'd be ok with it. Heck Courtney's Po :hearts: his sister Brooklyn and sh'es a Great Dane! ANd I'm positive that we have another Dane on the board but my addled old brain can't remember who!

It's difficult not to be paranoid. They seem so small and they act so fearless as if they have no regard for personal safety. Just try to remember that they will tell the other dog if he's doing something they don't like or if something hurts them. Half the time when the dogs are roughhousing, feelings are the most common thing hurt.
