I volunteered for Saving Animals to do pet adoptions at the Mall today. We adopted 3 of the 6 dogs that we had. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I hope that the deal with the mall to let us use a storefront goes through. We could have a lot more dogs and some cats available.
That is awesome and what a great idea!! What a rewarding way to spend your day, :thankyou: :angel7: Patrice!

That's Wonderful Patrice!!!!!
The added benefit of finding good forever homes for these pupperz and loving them up and playing with them while they await the arrival of their New Prospective Hooparents! :cheer2:

That's right, Janeut! The hardest part was having to put the remaining three in the van to go back to the shelter. :sad1:

That would be awesome if you could get the store in the mall! So many parents get suckered into pet store animals because their kids just beg and plead. Now if the kids beg, they will also be helping the stray/rescue effort! :appl:
The mall is a great place for adoptions--I agree, its a positive alternative when kids beg for a pet store mill puppy.
:way2go: Patrice, volunteering with them!!

The most amazing thing that happened was the couple that came up to us, sitting at a long table covered with info about pet overpopulation and spay and neuter and start to tell me about the litter their chiuahua just had and how their other one was pregnant. I just sat there with a blank face and finally just got up and walked away. I decided to use the old adage "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" Talk about clueless!

Yeah, Patrice, I hear you. Our family member 'breeder' is always bashing puppy mills. Then in the next breath talks about when she is going to breed her female again....:sosad: AND has told me "I wish I could get a dapple so I can really get into some 'exotic' colors"....:mad4:
