Here is some pics of Casey and Sophie enjoying their Chicken Leg Quarters.

Notice that Casey had to have Mommie hold his chicken for him!
He barked at it when I placed it on his tablecloth and then looked at me and whined. What was a Mommie to do?

Look PippitsMom --NO GLOVES!

Pixel needs help too! So tell Casey not to feel bad. He'll run to the door and I'll ask him to give and he'll run to the middle of the yard and squeak at me. This goes on about 5 or 6 times and I finally put on my shoes and rubber gloves (I with you K2) and go and play tug of war with a chicken leg.

Ewww!

Great pictures, Sophie, sure is a pro...she looks great too.

Ok Janet - I am not trying to be critical!! But aren't they on a diet? If so, a leg quarter is WAY too much food unless you will be fasting them the next day!! :)

Critical? Not YOU Courtney! :hug99:

Casey's Leg Quarter was 5.3 ounces. Sophies was 4.4 ounces. Is that too much?????
Being the lazy person I was yesterday.....I couldn't be bothered cutting them it up. I weigh all the stuff i give them for the day.

I swear Courtney....they got NO extras that day!
Except for snuggling and Kisses.

We are going back and forth between the chicken and the medallions still!
I have 3 more bags of the medallions left! Medallions one day...chicken the next.

Great Pics Janet!!!!!
I like the Table cloth idea!!
Heidi and Princess had raw pork spare ribs for dinner yesterday outside!!,
The weather is warming up nicely here so I tossed them outside
and let them go at it..

Might be! Sophie, if I recall, should weigh about 12 lbs? If she is dieting, she needs to eat 2% of her ideal weight. 2% of 12 lbs is about 3.8 ounces I think. So, it's not TOO much I guess and esp if you just feed a little bit of medallions the next day.

:relieved: :relieved: Geez! I was panicking there for a moment. I thought I was making Sophie fatter!
Perhaps I was fattening them up for Easter! :rotfl:

This isn't directed at any one person and it is just a question: How do you cook for your human family if you get grossed out by raw meat? I always touch raw meat. I have to rinse it before I cook it and I never use gloves and I haven't died yet.........

I can't speak for the rest, but I rarely cook. And I never touch raw meat without gloves and serious wipes around.

But for me, I have stopped watching Dateline & 60 minutes type programs, because they are what set me off....."tonight....what killer is lurking in your kitchen?" Unfortunately, a lot of damage has been done and I still can't touch Raw meat...or door handles....or shopping cart.

I don't mind raw beef or pork, just chicken. And handling it to cut it up, well, I do it but don't like it even though it grosses me out (after all I love cooked chicken), but holding while a dog tears into it, I know, it shouldn't bother me but it does. You have to be trying to grasp the slimy thing and pulling against them....
