I came home today, and as usual Charlie was jumping all around. I was standing still for a minute, and then went to move my leg. I accidentally ran into Charlie mid-jump. He must have fell funny, because the second he lands he starts screeching, "AARF! AARF! AARF!" I've never heard a dog make a noise like that!!

I was scared to death. BF ran over and started shouting at me, asking what happened, and I can't answer because I'm freaking out over Charlie. I don't know what to do, because Charlie's backing away from us and I don't want him to try to run away if I go to him.

Then, as soon as it started, it was over. He ran over to me and started licking me hello. I felt all his legs and poked and squeezed and nothing seems to hurt him. I'll keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't start limping, but like Po, he probably just jammed it for a few seconds. Man, he scared me so much!! But I'm happy he's okay. :relieved:

I know how scarey that is!! I think they screech and cry more out of being stunned rather than hurt. Doesn't happen very often around here, but occassionally Someone will move at the exact same moment and there is a colission that results in someone shrieking briefly. It's a real shock and really puts the fear and nerves on end! Glad everything is Alright now!:angel7: :cheer2:

THe Princess has learned that all she has to do is screech - everyone stops whatever they are doing and gives her immediate attention. Meanwhile she steals whatever toy she had her eye on! :rotfl: WOuld just love to know where she picked that one up!

poor Charlie!! And poor you, of course. :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: . My husband stepped on Cassie once when she was a puppy (she was under him and he didn't realize and stepped sideways on her leg) - she cried and wouldn't walk on it for several minutes... and then suddenly decided it was okay:confused: .

Poor Charlie! :rayz: :rayz: :rayz: Yes, they do like to milk it for the attention though. Poor Tasha, I stepped on her tail twice in 5 min last night. In a small apt, with her always underfoot, its easy to do. She didn't yelp at least. I felt guilty enough as it was...

They definitely do know how to scare us. Remy has an allergic reaction to every shot he gets, so the first couple of times we were freaked out. Now he just has to be given childrens Benadryl with every shot, but a couple of days after his first reaction he was running in circle around the couch & he ran right into the side of the desk, next thing i know he is all wobbly & he just lays down on the floor. I am like oh no, so i start giving him some Benadryl (dont ask me why, I guess I thought hey it works for the shots so maybe it will help) a few minutes later he just stands up, shakes his head, & starts running around again. Then jsut the other night I was taking him out to pee & since it is like Antarctica here in Massachusetts everything is pretty much covered in ice, so Remy was on his way back to the house & his left reear leg slipped. He immediately lifted it up, started whining, & then limped all the way to the house. I open the door, reach down to unhook his leash, hang up his leash & then bend down to check on the leg & boom he is gone running around trying to chase my sisters dog. He makes you think something is seriously wrong, it makes you laugh afterwards, but it is pretty scary at the moment.
