:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

My sister and I are taking my Dad to see the Yankees in Yankee Stadium this August. It's his lifelong DREAM- you have NO idea- he is going to be SOOOOOO excited!! This man has yankees everything- he watches every game and keeps score in a little score book and all that- he's been a fan for, like, fifty years (he's fifty nine) so this is going to be amazing for him!!!

I'm taking him to see the Blue Jays versus the Yanks in Toronto in July, as well, so he will NEVER see this coming- he's just happy about that! Plus, they're playing the Jays the day we go to NYC, so I'll get to see my team twice, too (but I will not be wearing a Jays hat in NYC- scary.)

The best part?! I'll get to meet up with Jen and possibly Tasha!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: And I'll get to see NYC, where I've never been!!!

I am ever-so-excited!!!

:woohoo:Yay, I get to meet Tracy and family! I'm trying to find a way to do it with Tasha too--a meal outdoors somewhere so she could be along. Maybe starting at central park and going to a grill with outdoor tables (unscary american food) in Hell's Kitchen.

Let's just hope its not hot as hell that day!!

Karen, do you realize that NYC is just about as far as Boston is to me? :rotfl: New England is closer to NYC than I am!

My friend Melanie is also from Buffalo (we both moved here in 2002 when we were pharmacy residents at the VA); we were all amazed when she told us she did not go to NYC for shopping ~ she would go to Toronto instead :)

WoW! I' ve been to NYC. I went to the Empire State Building and spent the day in Central Park! Loved it! Took the bus over from NJ. Saw WTC from the bus over. Saw Times Square from the cab ride. I REALLY wanted to see The Statue of Liberty, didn' t make it there b'cus funds ran out.
