NICE! I'm accosted by strange dogs that try to eat my pack again last night and you MOCK me?!? :mad1: If you REALLY loved me, you'ed all pitch in and buy me cool weapons, sun glassess, hair gel, and a long trench coat. I could look like Neo from the movie Matrix when he goes in to save Morphius. Oh... and I need my own theme music.....:conf4:
Too funny Lee Anne (you as Neo not what happened on your walk).....I'll send ya some mace, would that help?
Pepper spray might not be a bad idea....

Yeah, we were doing a short "easy walk" for Froggy's sake. I had all 5 dogs (weenies on one side - Cayenne on the other) and my mom was walking her pug plus two small dogs she's dog sitting behind me. We were on a semi-busy street and this dog comes streaking out of it's house across the street. At first we stopped and watched - horrified because we thought it was gonna get hit. Once it got across the street, it made a bee line down the sidewalk toward the weenies and proceeded to pounce on them and start a fightin'. All I could see was that 25 - 30 lb dog and think of Froggy and his back. I reached down and grabbed the dog by the back of it's neck/head and pulled up and tried to just hold him there while the owner's coming toward us screaming at her dog. Then that crap head tried to bite me! So... I did a sort of discus throw and launched him up in the air and behind me. I heard it hit the sidewalk and turned to see the owner try to grab it. Then it escaped her grasp and tried to come at us AGAIN. I pulled out one of my Marine close combat moves and stomp/kicked it in the head. The owner was able to grab it after that.
She grabbed her dog saying SORRY SORRY SORRY and ran across the street. My mother screamed JESUS CHRIST!! (She had been trying to stomp the damn dog's head too) and I said "Mom... calm down, she said she was sorry. At least it wasn't a pit bull." and my mom said she was just upset the whole thing happened because she was walking these two other dogs. We looked down at Froggy and he seemed to be sitting off to the side and his leg looked a little limp. I called my husband to come and pick us up. No more walks with the pack for Frog. I need to carry a golf club and walk him alone to protect him at all costs.

That's it, I'm DEFINITLY sending you some form of defense. Mace, pepper spray, 45 revolver........when will people get the picture about being responsible for their pets?!?!?!? Saying sorry doesn't make it ok. Sending big :bigrayz: :bigrayz: :bigrayz: to you and Froggie!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe a treadmill isn't a bad idea?

Cattle prod, defintely. It would work like a stun gun, but give you range. I am afraid that mace would have blow back. The golf club might not be a bad idea, for real.....and I am not joking about the cattle prod.
Are stun guns (not those expensive taser guns) legal where you live?

From what I can see... it's not illegal. Looks like I'll be buying a stun gun of sorts. Little dogs I can handle.... it's the big dogs I dread because they can do serious damage in 2 seconds flat. I refuse to be trapped inside because other people can't control their animals. The stun gun can be carried while I'm out running too. That'll give my hubby a little more piece of mind.
