If I was to give Bella a popsicle treat should it be a sugar free popsicle?

If you're worried about caloric intake, maybe. :dunno:

%100 juice popsicles would be your best bet. Sugar free popsicles contain aspartame, which is never good for humans or dogs.

I agree, I don't think fake sugar is good for them at all. I know there is an ingredient in sugar-free gum that is toxic, so if you can't find fruit only ones, I would go with a normal popsicle. Or better yet make your own with some yogurt and bananas then you know exactly what is in it.

Get one of those popsicle molds that tupperware or rubbermaid makes. I need to find one of those again. Ollie wouldn't care if it was just plain ice with nothing in it but Bella might be a little more suspicous unless you added some flavor.

We put plain yogurt into ice cube trays and Tasha loves a yogurtcicle.

I'd say no to a premade one with anything artificial.

I would make my own. I mix up bathces of pumkin and yogurt and freeze them in mini cupcake tins. Pippit :love5:s them!

Great idea's guys. I think the next time I go to the store I get some goodies to make some. Not sure how my gang will react cause they've never had something like that. It should be fun to watch.

I got dog popsicles one time. They were freezie pop format. I think I got them at Petsmart.

Mine were unimpressed. They looked for the food inside. ;)

I put in a bunch of organic bananas in our food processor and freeze the result in popsicle molds. No need for yogurt! Or, like someone suggested, pumpkin would be awesome in little ice cube trays. (great idea...I have to remember that!)

Aspartame and Phenylalynine are 2 toxic ingredients in gum. :yuck: That stuff is straight up poison! *shudders*.

Thanks for the advice! I think I'll go get Princess Bella some 100% juice popsicles and maybe some pumpkin to freeze. Luckily the temp has gone down from the 102 it was on Monday!
