I Tried~But I Have To Brag!!!

I wasn't going to post this~figuring people don't want to hear about it.....but I am just so proud of Pippit. :cheer2: :banana: :cheer2:

So, everyone knows that my brothers are total buttheads(and both have experience with dogs and are my brothers so that should stand for something~anything) Anyway, Ron has NO experience with dogs, never had a pet(except a hamster)growing up. He is wonderful with Pippit!!

Last night, Ron came over and Pippit initially barked and then he was fine. After about 2 minutes, he was in Ron's lap trying to give him kisses(which Ron thought was hilarious because apparently he doesn't usually kiss dogs):rotfl:

So, then we go out and play some Mini Golf(and I kick his butt!!! I even got a hole in one!!:banana: ) We come home, Pippit excitedly meets me at the door and then ignores me and greets Ron. We watch some of the game(Sox)and Pippit is so relaxed and at ease that he stays on the floor chewing his bone.

And now I'm thinking......:wtf:??? What is the big difference between Ron and my brothers(besides my brothers being selfish buttheads) Does Pippit sense that Ron wants him to like him? (truth be told, when we dated last year Ron was afraid of Pippit:)) I so wanted to take a video of Ron with Pippit to show my brothers....but then figured why??? And those words went through my head again today~"you can't fix stupid"

At any rate, Pippit deserves a big :banana: :appl: :cheer2: and a few extra treats for being such a good boy!!!

That is So Wonderful! Pippit is a good boy with good company.
Maybe he thinks that Ron could be his new Daddy and wants to make a good impression :hearts: :fh: :hearts1:

I agree, I think Pippit knows your brothers don't like via body language etc, and Ron is obviously happy in Pippit's (and your) presence!

That's really great. Pippit is such a Mama's Boy, it's really nice that he approves of Ron. If he didn't,I'd be scared if I was Ron. :hearts: Don't mess with Pippit's mama!

Yup, ITA with everyone else...dogs are great judges of character! Sounds like Ron's a keeper to me! And Pippit deserves a big hug and maybe even some treats (Alex made me add that :rolleyes:) for being such a good boy! Little steps mean a lot!

Yes, dogs area very goood judge of people and that is one of the reason, I always take adog on a home visit I do.

Yup~Ron is definately a keeper. And guess what he said last night? That he wouldn't mind having a dog and that Pippit is "cool". :) And he bought Pippit something, too(but wouldn't tell me what it is.....)

This might actually be good for your brothers too, because if Ron is with your family when Pippit is around, it is going to make your brothers look and feel kind of stupid in comparison, that they have "issues" with a dachshund when he gets along so well with Ron and everyone else. :D
