What you are looking at is destruction. Of my carpet at the doorway in my bedroom. Now, you would think with a new puppy in the house, I should expect this. But it wasn't the puppy. Seems Mimi, the houseguest, went and hid under the bed to avoid being locked in the kennel during the day. I didn't plan on putting her in the kennel that day and thought she was just eating cat food like the spoiled rotten poor excuse for a dog that she is. She normally pees on the carpet in my bedroom so I keep it closed during the day to prevent that method of destruction.
She found a new way to piss me off. She runs and hides under the bed, doesn't come when called and won't eat her breakfast or supper unless it has Kong paste on it. Darwin comes when I call. He eats all his meals. Mimi is lucky she's cute, but she's on my reserve nerve. She has single pawedly ruined my bedroom carpet with all her potty spots. Can't put her in the kennel at night because she bloodies her nose trying to get out. Have to push her in the stroller (and that's pretty degrading, to be 'that person') to make sure she doesn't injure herself while I'm gone with the other dogs. The thing I don't get is she's the only one who walks behind me when we're on a walk and she's on the leash.

That picture is Buddy's safe place. I have to leave the door open for him so when it storms he can hide in the tub. She ran in there when I was taking the first picture. That's Otto's butt in the shot.
I could blame myself if she were MY dog. But she's NOT. She's high maintenence and really torquing my shorts.

We got smart and found out that dogs and carpet don't mix. We ripped out all our carpet. It smells much nicer in my house now. It was either the fosters or the carpet and I am addicted to dachshund, so the carpet went.

Sorry to hear that your carpet is being destroyed!!! I wish we could rip out the carpet!!! We live in an apartment and I'm pretty sure it would piss them off when we move out if there wasn't any carpet here, no matter how nice of a floor we put in!!! Good luck!

Just a suggestion......
Have you tried dousing it with Natures Miracle????
Then perhaps steam cleaning it afterwards?

I am so sorry to hear that your houseguest is the cause of the destruction  :sosad:

How long is she staying with you? A countdown may be in order here!
Oh! And send the cleaning bill to her Mommie.

I douse the carpet weekly with the Orange version of Nature's Miracle and clean it too. It's part of my weekly cleaning chores. I'm just peeved that she tore up the carpet. I could've lived with having to use the carpet cleaner weekly, but I can't fix the carpet where she ripped it up.:sosad:

I agree. Training was much easier with Bella and I think it had alot to do with the fact we lived in a house at the time that had hardwood floors. Our new house is wall to wall carpet and Cooper loves the feel of warm, soft berber carpet on his butt when he pees and poops! :rotfl: Oh how I miss hardwood floors...

IF the carpet has not been discontinued - you can replace it even in a doorway and it is remarkably easy! I recenlty had carpet seemed that was YEARRRSSS old!
Poor A - you are such a sweety to your anipals and now this!

I feel your pain.

Berber carpet can be the biggest pain in the butt. the puppies that we transported that were here for a night unravelled some, and when we first moved here there was a loose fiber thingie sticking out so Alex of course had to pull it!

As soon as we can afford we are ripping it out and putting down ceramic tile.

The house we are in now has no carpet at all. All wood or tile. It is incredibly helpful with our guys. Seb used to pluck my carpet out just like that. I used to glue it down and he'd go rght to that spot and pluck back out. So, I feel your pain.

If you can match up a piece of carpet, you could just cut ruined carpet out and put the patch in. I don't know about berber though. I had regular carpet before.
