OOOOOHHHH, I am so excited:banana:
I just discovered the greatest tool to discipline Heidi and Princess when they are being naughty.....

Sometimes they get a little too rough with each other when playing and sometimes they pester Smokey the Cat so much and just won't leave the poor guy alone, they steal his toys and just won't let the poor guy move around the house without pouncing on him..

The other night when I was downstairs on the computer Heidi and Princess were playing very nasty with each other and just would not quit the rough wrestling and biting at each other and i just had enough of it, so I kept yelling at them to stop it and knock it off and they would just stop for a second or two and look at me and then continue on as soon as I walked back to the computer..

Finally after about 15 minutes of their racket, I picked up the can of compressed air that you use to clean the keyboard and went up to them and gave them both a good spray of air right in their little faces and BOY!!!! did that stop them dead in their tracks, they looked at me then at the can and ran up on the couch and just laid there looking like a monster came out of the can :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was like, Wow, this is so cool, they completely ignore me, but this little can of compressed air with the straw sticking out of the tip scares the bejesus out of them.

Sooo, now, this little can of compressed air has been moved to the upstairs and all I have to do is pick up the can and show it to them and they immediately STOP whatever they are doing,, it works for the cat torture too, they were giving Smokey heck the other night and would not let the poor guy play with his kitty tease and kept taking it away from him and running through the house with it, so I just picked up my little can of air and shook it around in my hand and they slowly ever so slowly crept up onto the couch and slid over to me and lay down!!

I just can't believe how well this little can of air is working to stop them right away from being naughty!!!!!

Has anyone else tried this!!!, They really don't like being sprayed with a squirt of air and it won't hurt them at all, just startles them and they become so obedient..

I should re-package it and call it Doxie Do Right Air,, One little squirt will have your Doxie as docile and obedient like you never imagined :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's too funny! Yeah, the water bottle has that effect around here. When they see it, they become perfect angels. Paul also uses the pillow technique- when they're wrestling really roughly, he throws a throw pillow at them and they shake it off like, "What was that?" and stop fighting.

I use the squirt bottle too. I have a squirt bottle in the living room and a water gun in my room. I need one of those belt thing where I can put my water gun, so I can carry it around all the time. :rotfl:

Jen, That is too funny, I can see you walking around your place like Clint Eastwood, all you need is a cowboy hat, and a tooth pick hanging out of your mouth, and we need that cool music from the Westerns....

What a cool video that would make :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I like it especailly when one of your pupper thinks you are playing when you use a squirt gun.

The spray bottle sometimes works with Tasha, other times she says, fine, soak me, I'm gonna keep barking!

I'm thinking about the penny can instead....

The squirt gun dosen't work here anymore. When I first started using it Weenie and Cricket hated it. Now they've become accustomed to it. I've never tried the canned air. I might have to give that a shot. They are such holy terrors sometimes!

I never had any luck w/ the squirt bottle or water gun. Buddy just thought "Ok, I'm thirsty, thanks for the drink!!" The penny bottle however is sometimes my saving grace. All I have to do is reach my hand out for it and he KNOWS...stops dead in his tracks and give me the L@@K as if to say "I know mutter, I know I sowwy." If it ever wears off, I'll have to try the compressed air!!!! I can just picture the looks on their faces now!

YES!!, that is the problem I had, the girls thought it was playtime and would jump in the air to catch the stream of water coming out..

The can of compressed air is still working very well, and mine can be holy terrors sometimes too!!

the funny thing is they don't do all the wrestling and growling and grabbing onto each others legs and trying to pull them apart when they are at their playdates. They play so nicely with the other doxies and when they went last month and got to see their brother baxter and Heidi played so nicely with him and not one growl or yanking of the legs with baxter,

but NOOOO, when they are home and I am trying to watch T.V. they are at each other like they want to rip their legs off. Thats' when the can comes in handy, they can get so loud I can't hear my T.V
