    Exclamation URGENT Upstate NY

Do you know of any rescue people, shelters, kennels in upstate NY area that can assist in this rescue operation?

    Upstate NY situation

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Via Pete Dolan FB Friends -- URGENT -- PLEASE CROSS-POST: There is an animal cruelty situation in Upstate New York with Frank Popolizio’s Southside Kennels located in South Worcester, NY. The Otsego County SPCA has been called in, as well as NY State Troopers, to remove over 130 dogs that are staked out w/barrels for shelter and no bedding in the barrels in subzero weather. The dogs are emaciated, eating their own feces, and in horrible physical condition. There are Vizslas, GSP’s, Weimaraners, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks -- these are the breeds that Frank creates in his puppy mill. HE IS NOT A BREEDER and don't be fooled by his website -- this is a puppy mill! He may have other breeds as well.

The Otsego County SPCA is overwhelmed with the number of dogs they are going to have to take in and they have asked for help. The director, and contact person for this SPCA is Liz Mackey; her phone number is 607-547-8111. If you have room to foster or can help in any way, please call!

    AGAIN PLEASE CROSS-POST!

    Thanks for reading!
They may be small, but you should see their hearts. Shelter/Rescue dogs aren't broken. They've simply experienced more life than other dogs. If they were human we would call them wise. They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon

How sad. I wish I was closer to help. I got to know a lot of these breeds through a friend and would consider fostering at least one. :(
