    Default camping!

I had a week off between teaching agility sessions so decided to take the 4 dogs and go camping. We stayed pretty close to home cuz I hadn't taken the trailer anywhere for almost 2 years so went to Bay City, MI to the state park there. it was nice! Not crowded and lots of hiking and walking paths in the park. Nature has "reclaimed" most of the beaches so there are tons of shallow ponds and vegetation and perfect homes for lots of wildlife. Saw a lot of shore birds and toads!
Sonic turned out to be a very good hiker. Twylie isn't fully vaccinated so she had to be carried in a sling. Which was sorta like carrying a 6 pound bull shark in a sling. She was biting everything. For about 1/4 mile she was holding Segue's leash in her mouth. Very helpful
I do not have a very cool photo taking phone so not many pics. 4 dogs and a camera is a bit too much! But have some of the campsite and dogs
    arrival and set up

    dogs choosing their sleeping spots:

I'll take all the pillows, ok?

What the heck is this camping thing?

    silly puppy

they were ready to leave after 3 days and 2 nights. lots of walking on leashes and being in the pen something they are not too used to.
    can we go home now??

    almost packed up

everything went really well with the trailer, thank goodness.

SQUEEE!!! Where is that fainting smilies when you need it??? That looks like so much fun, Amy!! My kind of camping (i.e., NOT sleeping on the ground in a tent ). Love the image of Twylie "helping". And I know how heavy a light little dog can get in a very short space of time...when I used to take the Js to the beach, I'd carry all 10lbs of Wen in a sling and then my shoulder would pay for it! But totally worth being able to get him out there to at least sniff.

The little mushroom camper is so cute. I could handle that kind of camping too (okay, for a short time). Very cool.

the little trailer is so cool. It's easy to hook up and I just backed it in, unhitched it, got out my chunk of wood for the hitch thingy, turned the crankstuck until it was level and stuck the two jacks under the back frame. taa daa! and it's easy to pull, only weighs about 1100 pounds and I can even move it myself a bit so I don't have to spend so long backing back and forth to get the truck hitch right in the right spot.
we cooked steak and eggs and hot dogs and marshmallows. dogs did not get marshmallows.

Wow, that looks like the perfect fun-mobile! What a great little camper trailer. Excellent.
Hope the furkids had as much fun on the hiking trails, sniffing the whole new world.
