I sat with my mommy in de recliner while she ate her supper and as much as I love me some pork roast, I did NOT chomp anything off of her plate. Not eben a tater skin. Nuffin. I gived her puppy dog eyes and sniffed hopefully and longingly, but I did NOT take anything off of her plate.

there might have been belly rubs. No feeding her off my plate, though, because that might lead to self-service, which is what got her in so much trouble night before last.

I truly don't know what I ever did without her. Duchie was SO different... so calm and grateful and sad... and Savannah is like living with Tigger on speed, All. The. Time.

Honest to god, Rae, I thought of you and SJ last night. I bought new toys to replace the old, icky, stuck-under-the-couch-for-the-nth-time-and-no-I'm-NOT-going-in-after-it-ones. A mad house for TWO full hours until I finally fed them ... and then it continued after dinner. Barking and zoomies, and Heidi and Ferkel playing tag, and Patti trying to bury his new ball in the dog bed. I FELT like I had 3 SJs in there...and these guys are supposed to be seniors
. I'm also used to old, sick, quiet dogs...who needs puppies?? And for those who don't want seniors because they're "too old," I'd like to introduce them to my 3!! A Bery Different Kettle of Dachshund indeed

It is time for me to take a trip to the PetsMart for replacement toys. I have three dead Bobos that I have stitched up so many times there isn't enough left to stitch, and Pinky the Pig that Barb sent to Duchie in 2007 that SJ has... well, VIOLATED.

Rae-we really need to get SJ and IzzyBean together. I think they might be soul sisters. Every time I read about SJ's adventures-I think it sounds just like Izzy.
