Default So proud of my Reesie!!

We've been working on our crate training and we've had our ups and downs! LOL BUT this morning she pee pee'd 3 times before I left and poopied so I was hoping this morning would be a "gold star" morning. I gave her 4 hours...just to see if I needed to cut back to 3 and GUESS WHAT?!! Crate was clean and dry! Woo Hoo!! Yea baby!!:cheer2: My Reesie didn't pottie in her room...that's what we call it.

I took her out and she pee'd, I gave her a treat. Went in had some water, played in the floor for a little while, brushed her hair and went outside. What did my little angel do....with a little pleading of course because mommy had to get back to work, she pee'd outside again. I gave her a treat and we cheered and danced! I think the whole neighborhood was peeping through their windows. hahaha

I'm just so happy. I'm about to leave and go back and give her lunch and see if we get similar results! I sure hope so!!

We had a minor set back...but some good news too. When I got home for lunch she had done a little poopy and pee'd in her crate. I cleaned it out and as I was she went to the door and started whining and scratching so I took her out and she did a poopy!! So...boo on the dirty crate, but yayy on the request to go out!!

We're going to get there! I'm not going to blame her though because I think the little poopy she did in the crate was leftover from breakfast. I need to plan more time into our mornings for bathroom breaks...she needs to have 2 poopies in the morning versus one it seems.

Overall, I'm proud of her! Yayy Reesie!

Thank you all for the support, this place is AMAZING! I :hearts: it here!

How long is she left in the crate for?
A puppy can't hold it for more than an hr....

Misread what you said, came back to edit. She held it for 4 hours this morning. I don't let her go for more than 4 hours at a time in the crate. Monday was 3, today I bumped it up just to see and she did fine. There was an hour and a few minutes between me leaving after her mid morning break and returning for lunch...which is when she let go.

I run home, I work nearby thankfully, and take her outside, play with her, in addition to giving her water at her mid morning break and food and water at lunch time. Do you think that's too much time?

Edit:
She's not eating and drinking in my absence so I was thinking once I took her outside after eating and drinking that she would be fine since she had exposed of everything.

Well if she is holding it that long...that is awesome!!!
Of course we all have to work (well maybe not all) But it is great that you get to come home for lunch to let her out for a break
I personally would not leave her without access to water....but maybe others can share their opinion on that also.
You sure can tell that you are an excited new mommy :hearts:

I want to do the best by her that I possibly can and yea...I am excited. lol I will of course follow her lead and adjust as needed. I've been wondering if I should get an ex-pen, line the floor with puppy pads and put her crate in it. That way she can have the comfort of her crate and can come out to pee if she can't hold it til I get there...even though she's going 4 hours at a time now. I just don't know.
