Default Anyone got an eyepatch?

Please save me....I always try to have only 5 dogs in the house meaning two fosters. Billy got adopted to a great guy with a puppy so he's been gone and we are actually at 5 dogs. It's wonderful! Peaceful! Happy! Then my problem is, I do intake for CTDR so I see the pics of the dogs in shelters who need out. It's hard to see it even though I have pretty thick skin. But how can I resist this???

They are Conan and Cheri, a bonded pair who have been at a shelter for more than a month because their owner's been in the hospital. He won't be able to reclaim them so the shelter wanted them to stay together and be placed in a rescue rather than go to adoptions. They are supposedly very sweet and laid back, probably 5 years old or so. Cheri is missing her eye.

I sent the pics to Adam, and he's crazier than I am. Even though he likes having fewer dogs around too, he just said, she'd look so cute with an eyepatch!! So they're getting picked up today and they will be coming here once their vetting is complete. :D

Ooooh, think of the B&T bookend pics we'll get!! And you're so nice Courtney--they'll be much happier at the Weiner Ranch than in the shelter till their owner gets better!

OMGoodness such a beautiful pair. :fh:

Thank you for taking them in. I'm thrilled the shelter called rescue instead of putting them up for adoption. You never know who might get them. I think they deserve the best. Yep, they certainly will fit in nicely with your crew. Since they're B/T's you'll hardly notice an extra two.

They would be the ones with tales to tell and stories to write. The ones dealt a bad hand who responded with courage. Do not pity a shelter/rescue dog. Adopt one. And be proud to have their greatness on your side. Anon
