TMI problem with the two boys

Ok, Harley and Max rough house alot. Lately I've been noticing that the weiners are going after each other's weiners and biting them and you know. I've noticed scratch marks on both on them near their weiners. Butch thinks that we might have gay dogs. :conf2: I'm finding it a little uncomfortable. I've tried yelling at them when they do this and even putting my hand there to block it when they are playing right near me.

I have no clue how to handle this one...

Well, I am thinking that they are just playing and that in no way indicates that they are 'gay' dogs. As for the 'other', it is probably a sign that they are trying to determine alpha issues. Also, alot of dogs will hump stuffed animals - so, what would that mean? When Cricket is at my mom's, he and her dog will try to grab whatever is exposed and available. One of which is a certain part of the anatomy. They also will try to take the other down by grabbing a leg or even an ear.

Harley is neutered, right? What about Max? I can't remember.

From my experience, you might find once Max is old enough to be neutered this will stop. Harley is not too impressed that Max has testicles, at least that what I found with my two. They still rough house but there is no pee-pee biting involved anymore. Now they just eat each others faces.

There is no humping involved.

Harley is neutered. Max can be neutered at any time. We'll probably schedule it in the next few weeks. I hope this goes away. How do I explain this one to guests! lol

When we were in Florida and Owen was playing with my sister's JRT, they licked each other's weenies quite a bit. My sister says Crash does that with her big dog too, when they play. My BIL was appalled. I've never had a boy dog before so I just thought it was a thing dogs do. God knows they do enough other weird things...eat poop, roll in gross things...thought it was just one more thing I can't understand LOL. But biting them...I guess I'd be a little more worried if they were actually hurting each other...

- Hershey sez - hmmmm might try that so he tries to hump Shadow - Jadaa is visiting from her queendom next door so she going to get in on the fun!! I'm laughing so hard I can't even think to grab a camera.

It's a humpty hump fest - Only my weirdo's!!

O god Laika humps our poor cat. So I'll hear this yowling and it sounds like someone is shaking the cat yow-ow-ow-ow-ow and I'll go look and Laika's humping his head. Of course why doesn't the cat DO something about it????? Instead of just meo-ow-ow-ow-ow-ing.
She also humps my leg after agility class. Like she got bossed around too much? I don't let her of course so she sits there staring at my legs and whining and doing her little hop/begging thing. PLEASE MOM I NEED TO.
she's so weird.

My boys do a lot of wienie licking.

Not sure what it means, but they do it. I find the squirt bottle to be a good deterent for any behaviour I want to stop. As far as guests go, I just make mine stop and ignore the whole thing unless a guest is rude enough to ask. Then I tell them "It's a dog thing". :banana:

although I feel bad for you, Donna! It does make sense, as Lisa said, that Harley is not pleased that Max still has testicles. Until you get him neutered, you will probably just have to work on distraction methods

My (spayed) girls like to have sexual encounters on occasion; Cassie (who is generally the NON-Alpha) is on top, but both dogs are participating

and they are SISTERS for heaven's sake.
